I follow a lot of people from a lot of fandoms and yet the only thing everyone agrees about is how devastating this news is..For most of us Robin Williams was our childhood..
He was the Peter Pan who grew up
The loving father pretending to be a nanny to be close to his children in Mrs Doubtfire
The boy who got stuck inside a game and brought us to Jumanji
He made us laugh as the Genie from Aladdin and cry while we watched Patch Adams
We saw the inventor in Flubber and the android in Bicentennial Man
No one can forget the hilariousness that is the Birdcage or his craziness in Night at the Museum
and there’s no way anyone can forget our deeply beloved Professor John Keating
If this really is true, then I hope you found the peace you needed and that you are happy now because there’s not one person in the world who can say that you didn’t make them happy..
Because you did you made us immensely happy, you showed us it was okay to be ourselves, it was okay to want to be a writer, or an artist and that poetry meant a lot more than just words on a paper, that laughter could heal even the sickest of hearts and that we should always let our imagination fly..
I know for me personally, you changed my life and I’ll be forever grateful to you..
